Prospective freshmen visiting campus for Bulldog Days had the chance to meet Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy at a an event, sponsored by the Yale College Democrats, on Tuesday, April 17.
The talk drew over 120 prefrosh to hear Gov. Malloy discuss political activism on campus, the upcoming Presidential election, education reform and a host of other issues. The Governor praised the Dems’ current work in the state, noting their contributions to city and state politics.
“If you come to Yale, I invite you to find community within this organization full of people that believe that there’s a bright future ahead of us,” Malloy told the prefrosh.
Gov. Malloy also addressed the upcoming 2012 elections at length. “Campus by campus, conversation by conversation, we will work together to make sure Obama gets reelected,” he said.
